find working tactics, playing with a single unit is absolutely legitimate. Why should that be? As you said, it's a TACTICS game, it's not a "have to play with 10 units" game. It's not the easiest route to play a game with a single character instead of an entire small army.īut just because it's a tactics game, that doesn't mean you should HAVE to use multiple units. The "freedom" in the PSP is false freedom, because it just means people take the easiest route to win i.e. You should be using a multitude of units to complement each other. Originally posted by REhorror:Actually, it's a tactics game. You get only one unit that can use it and to make it really shine, what better would there be than to use it for some solo battles or even a solo run? This is now severely stunted by the way this game handles items, spells and skills. The Lord class should be strong, it should be special. When you get that far, opening up other ways of playing usually is a good thing. It's not false freedom just because you don't like that other approaches to playing a game exist.Īnd let me remind you, you only get the Lord class near the end of the game. It's fun to try other ways though.Īnd just because it's a tactics game, that doesn't mean you should HAVE to use multiple units. Sure, using multiple units is the default way of playing and that's fine. You even it out by only using the single unit while the enemy has ten times that amount. It's not the easiest route to play a game with a single character instead of an entire small army. And I know a lot of people miss the freedom the PSP version gave them. You're in luck that apparently the devs think that enforcing restrictive playstyles is a good thing. I get it, you love the fact that everyone now has to play the game the way you think is right. I know your stance on this from other threads. Originally posted by Broso:That is your way to play. I am very strongly convinced that a game design that encourages more varied and different approaches to the game is better than a game that enforces a limited way of playing. Originally posted by REhorror:Not really, it's a good thing they don't allow one solo OP unit anymore and force you to do class synergy. Assuming you made Denam every other available class first, you should now see he has access to a crap ton of abilities and weapon styles to choose from! This is why it was important for Denam to reach the level cap.Ĥ - Finally change to the Lord class. When a character goes through a class change, they retroactively gain access to all the abilities that they would have unlocked up to their current level. Most of these can be bought from the store by now, but some of them (such as the Warlock / Witch) can only be found on drops.ģ - Have Denam cycle through every other job first. This should be at least 36 by the time the Lord class becomes a possible option for you.Ģ - Obtain 1 of every other class mark. ![]() Therefor, if you're thinking of making Denam into a Lord, it is highly recommended you follow these steps.ġ - Reach the current level cap. ![]() You have to unlock them from the different classes first and then carry them over. ![]() The catch to this versatility, however, is that it does not learn these abilities naturally on its own. For those players who may not be aware, the Lord class (exclusive to Denam) is unique in its ability to use almost every skill and spell available in the game.
